Thanks to anyone who can help. I’m an east-coaster looking to find a parish in Orange County CA (prefer to stay out of Santa Ana) for a person seeking God in the Catholic Church. He’s never been interested in God or any religion, but recently underwent a crisis and has contacted me for a parish in his area.

Please don’t respond with “Don’t go to…” or any negative “stuff” about Orange County, but a recommendation to a parish that’s a good, solid orthodox Catholic (not orthodox with a capital O) in that area…Because he’s not been to a Catholic Mass (or any other religious service) I think it’s important he visit a parish as loyal to Rome as possible.

I really hope I phrased this in a good way and haven’t stepped on anyone’s toes or any forum rules.

St. John the Baptist! I’ve never been there but have heard great things from two different sources.

It is staffed by Norbertines from the nearby Abbey. Before they took over St John’s they sometimes served at our parish. They are very faithful to tradition. Also, they are great in Confession.

Thank you both. I have sent him the recommendation. His first Mass will be this Sunday, Palm Sunday. I am excited for him and kind of nervous too. I wish I could fly out there and join he and his wife.
