i had thought that she was a saint, but I was surprised when I looked her up today and found she was not, so I wondered if there was anything preventing her beatification?
She’s alleged by some historians to have had sexual affairs, including with two Popes.
I think that sort of thing would tend to put the kibosh on her cause for sainthood.
I also think that if she’d been saintly, she likely would have been canonized fairly soon after her death, as happened with a lot of other saints who were rulers and military leaders back then.
