After all he has free will. Could he not realize that he is losing the battle between good and evil. Could he not realize that he made a big mistake, he is no dummy. Could he not humbly ask God for forgiveness? And would not a merciful God grant him such?

No.
He is condemned. It is written throughout scripture and doctrinal tradition.

Sadly I can’t help but to wonder if he is not losing sometimes.

Satan is an angel. Angels are pure spirit. Angels exist not in the temporal plane like we do, where there is a ‘before, during, after’ and where time is measured in such, but in an eternity which is like an endless ‘now’. What Satan (with free will, full knowledge, understanding, and consent) chose ‘from the beginning’ will endure through eternity. He was given exactly the same chance that human beings have; the only difference is that his chance (choose God or reject God) was made in a construct ‘outside’ time, and our choice is made in a construct ‘in’ time.
Our choice in time, before our death, will have the same result. WE will, in eternity, no longer choose to change because we will have already made our ultimate choice. . .just as the angels did.

There is no way that he could have had full knowledge and understanding of an infinite God and his designs. He was superior to us, but no where near as knowledgeable as his god. Therefore he could not have possibly known of the full consequences of his actions. He was a created being with limited but very great intelligence. So he could not possibly know his decision was completely correct and unforgivable. So he could be forgiven.

No, with respect, you are incorrect. You’ve just ‘moved the goalposts’ and tried a completely different argument. Doesn’t work.

AND I note you have not addressed the fact that eternity does not by its nature permit change.

It isn’t about what God can and cannot forgive. It is about what people --or angels–have themselves chosen.

A proud one never give up even to the end,for it blinds them .once Jesus was asked by venerable Sr Natalia of Hungary ,why Lord did you create hell", can’t hell be ceased?,Jesus answered, it was lucifer’s free will, which was responsible for it ,it was not his plan, and show her lucifer next to Jesus and said if lucifier ask pardon from Me, hell would ceased instantly, but lucifier said in response that i’ll never do.I will destroy God’s prized’s creation Man thus the conversation ended.

So… he has ‘very great intelligence’, but he ‘could not possibly know’ what happens when you tell God “no thanks, I’m not gonna serve you”? Umm… nah. Doesn’t make sense. 😉
