Could the devil animate a "life-like" replica of a person?

For example, there are alot of talented special FX artists out there that can create a nearly flawless physical replica of a person (Madam Boussard wax statues for example).

Would it be possible for the devil to possess it and animate it, and trick everyone that comes in contact with it into thinking that it is the actual person? (A tactic to trick them into thinking it isn’t a ghost)
 
I suppose if God allowed it, it could happen. The question is, why would God allow it?
 
Remember Annabelle. the evil doll that was either possessed or controlled by a demon? They had it locked up in a case and kept it downstairs in a room in the basement. The devil can attach to various things. Maybe he could attach to a wax figure and cause it to move and so on.
 
It’s said that the Antichrist will raise the dead and perform similar “miracles” through “trickery”. Whether this will involve demons or technology is unclear.
 
I think someone (blessed, venerable, saint or otherwise I can’t remember) had a vision of the end times that included dead bodies being temporarily animated by demons in order to make it look like he was raising the dead.

Since Satan and those who follow his lead can appear as an angel of Light… why any need for a dummy?

In any case — Point Being - By obeying God - Satan cannot control your will…
For now, God is on your side…
 
Weren’t there medieval tales of demons animating corpses to tempt virgins and holy men?

Manipulate it? Possibly. But animate it? No. Supposing Satan could manipulate matter, despite that his powers are supernatural, I suspect that due to his inability to create, he would be obliged to manipulate said matter according to the laws of the universe, such that to manipulate a wax figure would be quite obvious because the wax itself would still behave as wax wax does and crack and crumble as it was moved. But that’s just my opinion. I don’t know the actual extent to which the Church believes Satan can manipulate matter, beyond that it seems to me at least that his inability to create precludes him doing anything that would alter the accidents of a substance.
