Could this mean anything?

I received a package in the mail yesterday, but I was confused what it was when I looked at the folder. I opened it up, and it was a beautiful Catholic calendar; A Saint for each month along with a prayer. My older sister told me it meant something special, and that I should pray the Novena to one of the Saints on the calendar and ask for a special intention. I told her that I was receing those mails for Catholic charities to donate, because I had donated once to one of the charities, so I didn’t think it meant anything. But, my sister said it did. What do you all think? I will still pray the Novena, because of course it can’t hurt to pray. I decided to pray to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, since we are in the month of July. I prayed the first day yesterday, but iwas a short prayer followed along with Our Father and Hail Mary. Is this right? Sorry, I am not sure exactly how to pray the Novena, so I just want to make sure I prayed it correctly.

Don’t encourage superstition. A calendar is a calendar. Pray the Novena because you mean it, not because it “couldn’t hurt”…

You will only know in time if it meant anything to whats happening to you at this time. The only thing to do now is to enjoy the now and leave the future to there. What would you like it to mean by the way. Nope perhaps you shouldn’t go there but just be a pilgrim with this and be with God.

I didn’t mean it that way when I said it “couldn’t hurt”… I just meant that I will pray the Novena regardless. I did not word it correctly
