This is an article I did on my blog a few weeks back I thought might be appreciated here.

As it turns out, there is a bit of a vocations crunch in a lot of places that is quite a bit different than what we are used to hearing about. Namely, some orders and diocese have more vocations than space.

Check it out.

What a blessing that this is the case. Christianity can only benefit from dedicated Catholic clergy and religious who serve the church and witness for the Kindom of God.

I hope that some day the perception of the Priesthood returns to that of an early time where it was viewed with reverence and dignity due to the conduct and dedication of its members.

Frankly, the perception of all clergy has suffered due to the sinful behavior of a few. I am so heartened when I read here of dedicated young men and women and even older men and women seeking to serve God with a traditional sense of morality. I think the younger JPII generation will do great things for the church.
