I was wondering I was going to buy this girl I like a C.D. for Christmas and She listens to country. Sadly I don’t and havn’t the slightest idea what artist to get her. Does anyone out there listen to country and know what to get her? Please no “She thinks my Trackers sexy”.

Lonestar is a good option… Kind of Sappy, sweet love songs… Brought my Fiancee to their concert

Rascal Flatts is like a Country boy band like Nsync was to pop, except not just for preteen girls… They’re one of my favorites

There are also alot of Country artists who borderline on Christian music, but almost all seem to be christians, based upon the lyrics in their music…

In Him,
Tim

PLEASE tell me that was a joke?! It’s “She Thinks my Tractor’s Sexy”.

You may just want to opt for a various artists country christmas type CD. They are usually OK, but read the names of the songs. If they stick with carols you know, good, but if they have things like “Christmas in Jail” that may not be her taste.

You can never go wrong with George Strait for a female country fan. Last year he released one called “Fifty Number One’s”. It’s great, but she may already have this one if she’s a George fan like me.

Scan her CD collection, if you can, and try to see what type of Country she likes.

I like a wide variety of country but just have a fond liking to the country I grew up with late 1960’s -1980’s.

As for currents, I’d stick with the 'Greatest Hits type of CD’s unless you know EXACTLY what she likes.

Carrie Underwood just released her new CD yesterday.

Keith Urban, just won CMA Entertainer of the Year, is a good bet.

As a suggestion, maybe get her to listen with you a National Country Countdown radio program, and watch her reactions to the songs. That way, you can have some clues about what she likes or dislikes.

Hipe this helps!

That would be good, or one by Allen Jackson. Give her one that actually sounds like country music, not some of this gibberish that is popular today.

That’s a good idea. You never know what she’ll already own, so I would go with either Christmas music or something recently released. Brad Paisley’s new CD is good. And who doesn’t love Brad Paisley!

I LOVE country Christmas music. Martina McBride has one called White Christmas and it’s fantastic. Alan Jackson’s Christmas CD Let it be Christmas is also one of my favorites. Garth Brooks’ The Magic of Chrismas is great, too.
