Country singer Lorrie Morgan (a devout Catholic!)

OK, I’m no Jimmy Akin and I don’t like country music, but I happened to be watching some tv show on custom RV buses and Lorrie Morgan was giving a tour of her bus. Man was it opulent! Anyway, she remarked about how she was “very religious” and pointed to a statue of Mary. It turns out she was raised Catholic, went through Nashville, TN, Catholic schools and was married in a Nashville area Catholic church. It’s funny, I [subconsciously] just assume country music types are all Baptist. 🙂
 
This is the first I’ve heard of this!
I know she has had many husbands, but hopfully except for the death of Keith Whitley, that the other marriages were annulled.
Lorrie is currently married to another coutnry singer, Sammy Kershaw who is from Louisiana.

I didn’t know she was married before. I do know she dated alot of guys-- Sen. Fred Thompson, Troy Aikman, among others.
 
LM married Ron Gaddis (not sure what year). Marriage ended in divorce in '79.

Married Keith Whitley in '86. Marriage ended with his death in '89.

Married Jon Randall in '96. Marriage ended in divorce in '99.

Married Sammy Kershaw in 2001. Still married.

As I mentioned before, IF she IS Catholic, hopefully she had her marriages annulled.

Since the show I saw was recent I assume she thinks of herself as Catholic. Perhaps she has re-discovered her faith.
 
Do you know if she has any religious music? We enjoy country music but are not die-hard fans who buy every album and listen to it. Thanks for letting us know, very interesting. If she has a religious album I would like to support it.

I didn’t know that Lorrie Morgan is Catholic and I don’t know if she has any religious C.D.'s out but I do have a Christmas C.D. that she did. It’s called Merry Christmas from London featuring The New World Philharmonic. She sings Ave Maria on the last track. It’s a nice C.D.:yup:
