Jennifer Roback Morse in the linked article, while giving a clear analysis of the bad effects of the SCOTUS same sex marriage decision, nevertheless thinks that the culture can be redeemed.

If it is to be redeemed, it will be because the victims of the sexual revolution recognize that they have been lied to for decades. Their families, their children, have been gravely harmed by what was promised as a great freedom.

She says, “It is almost as if we have said, “We like the Sexual Revolution fine, just not the gay parts.” This is no longer acceptable. It never was acceptable.”

Here is the article: Court Decision Will Renew Campaign for Marriage

She gives her thoughts on what she *predicts *will be bad effects.

She’s talking about divorce here now, not Same-Sex marriage.
She says our culture “routinely tells lies” because it doesn’t say how difficult divorce will be for children.
Since when does our culture say this? *Who *says this? What is she talking about?
Almost any magazine you pick up and countless books talk about how to help a child going thru the difficulty of divorce.
What lies is she talking about???

Also, as per more “lies our culture tells”…she says that “educated and accomplished women” have been lied to…and “would have made different choices, if they had realized how painful childlessness would prove to be?”

Sorry, but…who is lying to these educated and accomplished women?

I see the writer is the head of “a non-profit organization committed to addressing the lies created by the Sexual Revolution.”
It would be nice if she backed up just one of her facts, assumptions, and accusations.

.
She’s making a prediction based upon what she knows with regard to many women’s and children’s experiences.

I think her point is… wait and see!

Are you too impatient to wait and see, or do you hope your lone voice will change all future events because you raised this objection?

You don’t even have to wait to see. The disastrous results of the sexual revolution have been becoming apparent for decades. For a review of the sad statistics, read Eberstadt’s book “Adam and Eve After the Pill–Paradoxes of the Sexual Revolution.”

The sexual revolution was made by and for adults. Children were abandoned, aborted, left fatherless, and rendered poorer. They were merely byproducts of divorce litigation, fought over as objects. Now they are to be deliberately denied fathers or mothers because one parent or the other has decided a same sex relationship trumps a kid’s right to a mom or a dad.

The rate of marriage in the U.S. has been declining. When an institution is attacked and destroyed, who wants to enter into it? But I agree with the article that marriage cannot be totally destroyed, because it is a natural institution, based on the fact of the complementarity of man and woman. It will make a comeback. The counterattack to the current culture might well be led by the children of same sex ‘marriages,’ and children who have been marginalized and ignored and treated as objects by the sexual revolution.

It reminds me of a quote from another article:

“Growing up entirely within the confines of the Sexual Revolution, today’s college students have no memory of life before it. Broken families and broken love stand equal beside parents united for life. The “love” they know is multiple choice. Select what works for as long as it works and move on. They really don’t know love at all. The campus rape movement is an outcry of this emptiness. It is the cry of those trapped in a world without meaning, a world seeking love without knowing love.”

From “A Generation Raped.”
