I believe God’s creation is beauty. Sheer beauty. In it’s entirety. That’s what I think was meant “And God said that it was good”. Aristotle defined beauty as A concept where the sum of the parts of a thing has no part drawing unjust attention to itself. Remember sin is only turning away from the unchanging to the changing. God created the “modes of material nature” But man in his error follows his passions rather than reason and intellect. Any opinions on esthetics and creation?

God created us with unbounded admiration for his handiwork. If that were not so, life would be a nightmare, with every mountain looking like a monster and every river looking like a snake. I have believed for a long time now that there is a very good reason many uplifting hymns have been written to God, but none to Nogod. We instinctively know God exists and that his works are wonderful to behold.
