Recently I’ve been avoiding TV series, Netflix and movies because of Lent. But I’ve stumbled across some trailers (Black Mirror’s Bandersnatch, Brightburn, Hellboy, newest Riverdale episodes, just to name a few, of course there was a lot more).
Most of them was filled with impure stuff and violence, nothing new under the sun pfff. But what hit me the most was almost each and every one of them had some satanic/occult weeeeird motives – witches, magic, symbols, rituals antichrist-like figures, possessions and were overall visually disgusting. I was pretty creeped out but not that scared really (Jesus is Lord, no fear
). It’s almost like the writers and creators wanted to push some satanic agenda. And don’t get me wrong I know there are good movies out there (already and upcoming too) but I have this feeling that all this “evil stuff” was not there before (well, maybe occasionally).
I’m not into this, really, and it looks like for me the number of watchable shows/movies is decreasing fast. It pisses me off, I feel that there’s strong insult against God present in this themes. Maybe there’s a good side – I won’t be spending this much time as before watching stuff with my girlfriend. Maybe I’m just oversensitive.
Anyone feeling this way too?
