I have received a very heartfelt e-mail from my RCIA parish sponsor inviting me to a Christ Renews His Parish retreat at the end of February.

It sounds very exciting and I’d like to go, but I am uncertain if I should do it now since I am not yet confirmed in the church. I’ll take Eucharist and be confirmed at the Easter vigil, which happens after this retreat.

For people familiar with CRHP and RCIA, what do you think? Is it okay to do both or is it a bad idea? Looking forward to your thoughts! Thanks.

Since you are already Catholic and have received the Sacraments except Confirmation, you should be ok. I teach RCIA in my parish and we had a 3 year RCIA participant who with the blessing of our Pastor attended CHRP in February of the year he became Catholic during the Easter Season. He told me that that Retreat was the final step in his conversion. He was not able to participate fully, bue it was really insturmental in helping him finalize…so go ahead, but I recommend you talk to the Pastor and your RCIA director. :blessyou:

yes you may and should participate, CRHP is one of several parish renewal and evangelization programs, and since one goal of RCIA is to help you become part of parish life this is a great way to do that, and it will help you discover ways you can serve your parish.

Welcome Home!
