When people talk about cross-references do they specifically mean at the bottom of the page in a Bible where they are linked to corresponding passages, so like if I was sent to Numbers 21 from John 3.14.
If so, my Douay-Rheims does a rather good job of this, quite detailed!

Yes you are right that is what cross references means.
