I am in RCIA and my husband (who is returning to the faith) purchased a crucifix for our home. Tonight we will get it blessed by Father Roy. My husband told me all goo Catholic homes have a crucifix somewhere in the house, he just couldn’t remember why. Can someone please tell me?
Thanks:shrug: 🤷 🤷 😃

To constantly remind us of our commitment to God, to remind us Christ watches over us, to remind us to pray, to remind us that our souls have been purchased for a price, to proclaim to the world that we are Catholic, and we preach Christ Crucified.

These are (some) of the same reasons why Catholic homes also have Holy Water Fonts, Saint Statues, Icons, Blessed Salt, and other images or sacramentals.

Thank you, it makes sense. Usually the simple explanations are the best understood.

God Bless and thank you:thumbsup:
