“The UK government has crafted an educational mandate for religious schools’ curriculum that Sohrab Ahmari at Commentary calls “Orwellian.”
"Under the proposal, all schools would be required to teach children from age 4 and up “age-appropriate” content that includes information about same-sex marriage and transgenderism. Catholics, evangelicals, Orthodox Jews, Muslims, and others with traditional views on sex and gender would have to comply. No exceptions.”
The author proposes that the only solution for religious schools to avoid being mandated to teach children things contrary to their faith is to reject all government funding.
I suppose that is probably the only feasible solutiion for now. Even then I doubt that it will keep government from imposing its own mandates on private schools.
The problem is that such mandates, in my own view, constitute a federaly imposed establishment of religion. The government imposes its own secularist religion on everyone.
Sadly, it seems to me that everyone has become accustomed to accepting the government religion.
