Culpability for the sins of others

I was reading an article covering the ways in which we may be responsible for the sins of others. Among 9 other things, such as counsel, command, and provocation, one item was silence. One occasion was brought to mind recently, when I hang out with my atheistic friends, they say ‘oh my G —‘ and ‘Holy Mary Mother of God’ out of context and in vain, often times in reaction to a surprising event. If I am not counseling them against this, am I too responsible? They would most likely not heed my concerns any way but I’m curious to see how others feel

I wonder this too but a good habit to incorporate is when someone (friend or not) says something like “Oh my G*d” you can say or whisper to yourself “have mercy on us and on the whole world” or “Beautiful is Your Holy name” or something along those lines…

Thanks, I will incorporate this. I read elsewhere that it is right to bow your head when you hear their name being misused.
