My 9yo son was recently diagnosed with an allergy to milk protien. We have eliminated all dairy products from his diet for a couple of months, now, and his symptoms, inflammation of the intestines, seem to have abated.

I have a friend who is encouraging me to take my son to her chiropractor for NAET treatments to cure him of his allergy. She says that they have cured her of an allergy to strawberries and cured her son of several allergies.

I am just wondering if anyone else has heard of these treatments or used them. If you have any experience with or knowledge of this idea, please share.

I dont know what NAET is, but there is sucha thing as desentization of allergies, which takes time… years so I would talk with your primary care physician or someone specialized in allergy medicine.

Vaccinations exist. I’ve had one and am having another one (different) in April.

I dont know if this helps but my sister had a lot of food allergies at around the same age. She had to eliminate so much from her diet it was really hard. She grew out of it in her later teenage years though, with no particular interventions like chiropractors etc. I’ve heard that childhood allergies can often disappear with age. Do you know if this is ever the case with your son’s particular allergies? Might be worth asking a doctor about.
