I bid on it with no intentions of actually buying it. I bid about $20 million for it the first time this seller listed it back in April. I sent an e-mail to suggest@ebay.com as well as going through their crazy contact menu and brought it to their attention that the listing violates the policy they established back in April in response to our calls for a boycott. As granny says, everyone should send an e-mail requesting they cancel this auction.

Nan S:
At least three other threads already covering this:

In The News: New Ebay Auction for The Eucharist!

The Water Cooler: New Auction for The Eucharist on Ebay!

The Water Cooler: Hey? Is it okay to shop at Ebay again?
Do you not think this deserves as much exposure as possible? Not everyone views every forum. I guess complacency is contagious. The first time this happened in April the forums hit an all time high for persons viewing. This time around few seem to care and threads are closed. A sad sign of our times.

People who don’t want to view In The News should not get it in Liturgy and Sacraments and Popular Media. It is their choice if they want to view it. There are specific forums for specific purposes so that they can MAKE that choice. It is not yours to make.

No, this one makes 5 (of which 4 have the same originator). One was just shut down in Liturgy and Sacraments. Hey Grammy, you really shouldn’t cross post like this. It was really hard keeping up with the three this morning!
Congratulations! You are one of the few who tried to read up on it. Fewer than 100 people have even viewed the auction.

I guesss we need to be really concerned that posts about this auction do not get in the way of such important topics as “Laser Hair removal” and “Do you reuse our zip lock bags?”

Not everyone looks at every forum. There are so many posts (many that are just nonsense such as I mentioned above) that move important posts so far along that they never get seen.

I saved the Bakersfield CA host from Ebay in April myself and I am getting really tired of the apathy that seems to have developed regarding Jesus Christ for sale on ebay.

Sorry, I thought that Jesus Christ was not just “news”, also our liturgy, a sacrament and unfortunately also in the media via the internet. I mistakenly thought he might be important to those viewing those forums as well. My mistake!

Maybe that’s a good thing, that he isn’t getting the publicity he wants but is still gonna be shut down. Huh?

Hey. The Ziplocs is MY thread. Why you gotta be like that? I kept up with all three of yours this morning and at YOUR REQUEST spent 15 frustrating minutes on “live support” at eBay to give a place for people to go. Your response is to personally attack me? Not nice, Grammy. Not nice.

We are under no obligation and Jesus is no longer present in it. I admire you, but you are dealing with respect for Catholicism, not respect for Jesus. I find it much better to PRAY for those needing to find the truth and who are so depraved they would stoop to such a thing, as prayers is what they need.

There are a lot of people lacking respect nowadays.
