I’m going on a pilgrimage to Guadalupe in mid-October and was online researching in preparation for the trip. I saw reference to crypts under the New Basilica on one website. Saw no reference to crypts under the original church or any of the other structures in the vicinity. And nothing was said about who might be interred in the crypts that were mentioned. Does anyone know? I must assume if either Bl. Juan Diego or Bishop Zumarraga had been interred locally, it would have been mentioned . . . do we know where there remains are located? Thank you for any help you can offer . . . I suspect my Spanish simply isn’t good enough to find this information on many of the Guadalupe sites.
