My dad is angry with my slow progress or psyche meds. I feel.so disabled.

I.want to talk to my half brothers but I am afraid this will never ever happen as my dad is so angry.

I’m sorry to hear that. No one has a right to hit you. How old are you? Do you live at home?

As a side note, are you taking all of your medication and following your doctor’s orders diligently?

Reach out to your therapist for help. You should talk to your therapist about the situation.

Not all medications work the same way for all people. Instead of being at angry at you, your father’d better talk with the doctor and see if the meds aren’t working maybe you need different meds. Or different doctor… :hugs:
I pray God puts some sense back into your father.
Amen

If you seriously fear for your safety, then you need to tell someone. Is your mom available to help you?

Take note: if the illness you’re being treated for is schizophrenia or something similar, don’t rule out the possibility that your dad’s anger might just be a delusion. Either way, let someone you trust know what’s going on. This is not a situation where you just let sleeping dogs lie.

Loads of people are praying for your mental health and safety. Speak frankly with your physicians.
Tell them EVERYTHING

Praying that God will keep you safe, and bless and keep you. And that you will get the help, from doctors or family, that you need.

Still, please talk to your therapist or another adult that you trust about your dad’s temper. It’s never okay to threaten to hit a child, especially when it’s something beyond your control. Your dad may need help, too, if he’s gone that far, and you need to be able to feel safe so you can start to feel better. It will be harder for you to recover even with meds in a high-anxiety environment. Keep taking your meds and be honest with your therapist/psychiatrist about what’s going on in your life. Don’t feel bad that you have this in your life right now. Mental illness is a hard battle to fight. Be proud of yourself for taking steps to get to a better place in your life where you can heal and keep on going.

May God bless you and protect you and I will pray for you.
