I have a lovely book from the Eastern Orthodox which has a page for each day of the year. It lists the scripture reading passages ( by reference ) for the day, the commeration ( i.e Veneration of the Chains of Peter on 1/16 ), it lists the primary saint for the day and half page description of the saint and why they are venerated. A small devotional quote from some saint or elder ends the page.

Does such a work exist for the Western Church ?

I have found various online resources, I have also found some print works but they tend to be more weekly in nature or else just a wall calendar type thing.

I prefer a book. Right now I have to write down all the passage references from EWTN’s readings, then take them with me to read to the family. It would really be nice to have it all in one spot except for looking up the passages in scripture. I don’t wish to incorporate the online experience into morning worship either. A book or some other printed matter would be preferred.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks!
