Daily Lenten Prayer for April 9, 2009
Opening Prayer: Father, by the power of the Holy Spirt You anointed Your only Son Messiah and Lord of creation. Help us to be faithful witnesses in the world to the salvation Christ won for all mankind. Amen.
Scripture Readings: Exodus 12:1-14 Corinthians 11:23-26 John 13:1-15
Meditation: Jesus shared His Body and Blood with his disciples at the Last Supper. What can I do today to share my bread with the hungry, and my love with those in need?
Closing Prayer: Father, look with love upon Your people, the love which our Lord Jesus Christ showed us when He delivered Himself to evil men and suffered the agony of the cross. Amen.
