Rosary; meal blessings with each meal, beginning and end; I think they still generally say the Angelus at noon (I’m at work so not sure if it is every day), and a morning offering. My bride also takes them to morning Mass most weekdays, although we all went together today. We do say the St. Michael prayer together after Mass.

If we get started early enough, each child, of the older ones (9,8,6) leads a decade, although we have discovered that our three year old can lead - - he asks if he can lead, and with just a few cues, he can. It is so cute to hear his little voice: "Ave Maria, gratia plena . . . " ! I know he doesn’t understand what it means, but that can come later. Again, if we start early enough, we also offer intentions for the Rosary - - trying to get them to think of others, so they are encouraged to pray for their godparents & godparents’ families, but the list of intentions can take off from there. We have two adopted who usually pray for their birth moms and dads as well.

What does your family do?

ETA: oh, and the three year old reminds us to pray a “Hail Mary” when we hear a siren.

What prayers do you say daily with your children?
We say Morning Prayer (LOTH)
Grace before meals.
Evening Prayer (LOTH) which often includes a novena for a specific intention.

My children are older teens and we have been following this schedule since they were babies.

We don’t say a family rosary daily, but each person says their own rosary on their own schedule. (I am terrible about it, my husband says a rosary every night before bed.)

We don’t get to daily Mass during the school year, but I usually go to Saturday morning Mass, and we make daily Mass several times a week during the summer.

My husband and daughter (away at college) go to weekly adoration. I go a few times a month.

It is extremely beneficial to develop a family prayer habit. It is better to do what you can do regularly and consistently, than to come up with elaborate plans that you can’t keep up with.

It is also important to be consistent about Confession. We go monthly. We have never required our children to go to confession (you can’t compel somone to recieve a sacrament!), but when they were younger they needed to come to church when we went. They very naturally came to the habit of regular confession.

My oldest is 2, and we say grace before meals and before bed we say 1 Angel of God, 1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary, 1 Glory Be, and a variation on the “Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep” prayer:

“Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep,
Guard me Jesus through the night,
And wake me with the morning light. Amen.”

If we vary at all from the “correct” prayers at bedtime my husband and I get chastised pretty severely. 😉

I would like to do a family rosary sometime. I usually pray it while I drive home from work in the evenings, but occasionally I’ll do it while I’m on a longer ride with the boys. One of my moms groups also has a “children’s rosary” once a month that we enjoy getting to if we can get ready early enough in the morning. 😊 My boys also cuddle with me while I say my morning prayers before getting out of bed.

We were in the habit of going to confession once a month but that has kind of fallen apart with our schedules lately. I would like to do that as our boys get older so they get used to going. I like it. When my oldest is a little less wild, I’d like to bring him to Adoration as well.
