Daily Readings/Liturgy of the Hours

If one has only time to do one set of readings, with reflection and prayer, is it better to do the readings for mass that day or the Office of Readings from the Liturgy of Hours?
I have easy access to both from an app on my phone. I was wondering if one is more spiritually edifying than the other or more preferred.

It’s really your choice. Both are excellent resources. You may have to boil it down to which you enjoy more.

As porthos said, it’s personal preference. Mine is to do the OOR when time permits. I offer that only to point out that in my opinion, the two have very different time commitments. OOR takes me 15-20 minutes at least; the daily Mass readings can be 5 minutes or less.

If you have time to read one and listen to another the USCCB offers a daily podcast of the readings.
