My crucifix is irreparably damaged and is beyond repair. I don’t know what to do with it. I want to treat it with the utmost respect but I can’t wear it any longer.

You can see if your church collects such for proper disposal, otherwise reverently burying it in an area not prone to traffic is an alternative.

I think the general rule with objects such as a Crucifix or Rosary is to bury them or burn them or do what Mtatum1958 suggested.

Not meaning to be repetitious, but yes, I’ve always been told if it’s something burnable you should burn it, then bury the ashes. If it’s not burnable then respectfully bury it.
I don’t know if you have a home alter or not, but if you do, you could place it there. I’ve had several smaller crucifixes over the years that broke and they have a home on my home alter.
