Is it normal for the subject of sex to come up a lot while dating? My gf and I have been together for two months and it comes up a lot. A Lot of times she brings it up (altho I have a couple of times). We are in a long distance relationship. Most of the time its just talking about kissing and cuddling but at times its more. But its to the point that we cant have a conversation with out it coming up. Is this normal?

Interesting. In my case it’s usually the guys that bring it up. They seem to want to make sure they’re with someone who will put out before they waste any more of their time. As I don’t they usually disappear which saves me time as well. 🤷 😃

What kind of things are you talking about to do with sex? Actions or just what you think about sex itself?? How old are you two?

My fiance and I talk about sex, I think it’s normal. As long as it’s not ‘phone sex’, I don’t see a problem with it… We talk about our fears (especially my fear of it being painful), how often (we’ll be using NFP to avoid for the first few months of marriage), and sometimes how we can’t wait to be able to express our love to each other through sex. Sex is a normal and HEALTHY part of a married relationship, so people considering marriage should probably discuss it at some point. If you’re talking about it in a way to kind of arouse each other (‘phone sex’), that’s not a great idea, for obvious reasons, and probably a sin.

It looks like you may be worried that she might have a stronger appetite than you…

Talking about it is normal, talking about it excessively is obsessive. Talking about it to cause arousal is wrong.

Your priest can best advise if this is becoming a near occaision of sin for you.
