I support most of the suggestions in this article.

It needs to be said that a lot of “Confederate Statues” were installed in the 20th century to further a racist agenda.

The issue isn’t “anyone who sinned.” The issue is having monuments to people who took up arms against this country; and monuments created to push the romanticizing of the “Old South,” complete with slavery.
