Dear Brothers and Sisters,

In His Infinite Love on the Cross, Jesus told John and all of us, “Behold your Mother”, but we have not all been faithful in taking Mary into our very being, into our lives, as John and the early Church did. Nevertheless, when Mary heard Jesus say, “Woman behold your son”, we can be sure Mary said “Yes” in her heart and was obediently taking John and all of us into herself and Mary continues to live eternally interceding for us. Mary is Faithful, and she is the Mother of our Faith. She is at this moment “gazing on us!” because God has given her to be Mother of us all to watch over His children with the love God gives, unless we refuse to receive His Love.

Yesterday, I posted St. Louis de Montfort’s words from paragraph 260 of True Devotion:
…we must look upon Mary, although a simple human being, as the perfect model of every virtue and perfection, fashioned by the Holy Spirit for us to imitate, as far as our limited capacity allows. In every action then we should consider how Mary performed it or how she would perform it if she were in our place. For this reason, we must examine and meditate on the great virtues she practised during her life, …
Today, I’m pondering especially Mary’s faith and in particular, her faithfulness to us because of her faith in God. I know I have not always gazed upon her, but she has never stopped gazing on me. I am sure of it. She has never stopped praying that I may hear the Truth and do the Truth which the Holy Spirit was sent by Jesus and the Father to complete in His Church. She wants us to believe in, hope in, and love Him.

Come Holy Spirit, teach us to pray well, as you taught Mary to pray well.
Mary, Mother and Model, intercede for us: to live, believing in every word and action of Jesus, living as you did on earth, following Him.
