Dear Brothers and Sisters,

In our Baptism we were taken out of Adam and born anew in Christ. Freed from original sin, the Life of God was infused into our souls,. As we continue this journey toward the perfect renewal of our Baptismal promises, Hopefully, by His Grace, we are “seeing by faith”, more and more: we need to die to sin and/or temptations to sin, every day to remain truly in Christ and growing in His Life.

“If we die with the Lord, we shall live with the Lord”. In today’s Gospel, we hear how Judas agreed to betray Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. Is money keeping us from detaching ourselves from sin to live in Christ? What are we unwilling to die to, in this world, in order to give ourselves completely to Him Who has loved us so much? Jesus “emptied Himself” completely. (cf Phil. 2:7). He Who is without sin, became sin for us! We owe Him everything!

Let us fervently ask the Holy Spirit to bring us into the complete Truth Who is Jesus, our Way and our Life. Let us call upon the Name of Jesus which is above every other name, and let us stand with Mary on Calvary gazing on the Face of Love, bruised and bloody – Lamb of God, sacrificed for us.

The Litanies of the Holy Spirit and of the Holy Name of Jesus with the Ave Maris Stella need to be prayed daily.

This prayer helps me, and it may help others:
O Jesus, living in Mary, come and live in your servants, in the spirit of holiness, in the fullness of your power, in the perfection of your ways, in the truth of your virtues, in the communion of your mysteries. Rule over every adverse power, in your Spirit, for the glory of the Father. Amen. – Written by Fr. Olier, S.S. (1608-1657)
