Dear Brothers and Sisters,
What a beautiful day – Holy Thursday – on which to come to the end of our 33 Day journey to Total Consecration! Like Jesus, we see the gift of ourselves to the Father before us. Tomorrow, God willing, on March 25 which is Good Friday, we renew or consecrate ourselves for the first time to Jesus through Mary, praying the Act of Consecration written by St. Louis de Montfort.
Those renewing this Consecration, have already written and signed it and need only say the words from the depths of their hearts, by God’s Grace, with ever greater fervor. If you have not gone to confession recently, it would be good to do so within the next week or so. However, do not refrain from praying the Act of Consecration, even if you are unable to participate at Mass or Holy Communion tomorrow. You may want to read, if you have not done so before, St. Louis’ suggestions for receiving Holy Communion HERE. If you are unable to receive Holy Communion tomorrow, you may want to ask Jesus to come into your heart in a spiritual communion.
Since this is the last day of our journey, let us spend some time today, listening to the beautiful account in John’s Gospel of the Lord’s washing His disciples’ feet (JN 13:1-15). We have spent this last week seeking to know Jesus better. As we see Him washing the feet of His disciples and we listen to His words, may the Holy Spirit bring us into a more complete knowledge and understanding of the Truth Jesus is, and enable us by grace, to do the Truth we hear from Him, to live His Life of Truth – giving ourselves each day in love for God and for one another.

- At the end of these three weeks they should go to confession and Holy Communion with the intention of consecrating themselves to Jesus through Mary as slaves of love. When receiving Holy Communion they could follow the method given later on. They then recite the act of consecration which is given at the end of this book. If they do not have a printed copy of the act, they should write it out or have it copied and then sign it on the very day they make it.

The Litanies of the Holy Spirit and of the Holy Name of Jesus with the Ave Maris Stella need to be prayed daily.…So when he had washed their feet
and put his garments back on and reclined at table again,
he said to them, “Do you realize what I have done for you?
You call me ‘teacher’ and ‘master,’ and rightly so, for indeed I am.
If I, therefore, the master and teacher, have washed your feet,
you ought to wash one another’s feet.
I have given you a model to follow,
so that as I have done for you, you should also do.”
