I’m a 4th day-er. My weekend (8-11 Feb AD 2007) was awesome!

If you’ve wondered about attending a Cursillo weekend retreat, I highly recommend it.

Congratulations… I’m from Cursillo #56 in the Jefferson City Diocese, held at St Andrews in Holts Summit, Table of St Peter.

prayers and thanks to all of you, cursillo brought my dad back to practice of the faith shortly before his cancer diagnosis and untimely death.

De colores!

I am in a youth retreat movement in Sacramento, California, called Recollections In Christianity, which is patterned after the Cursillo retreat movement. We sing almost the same songs, we write palancas, etc. It’s nice to see others sharing about their cursillo/retreat experience as well. I have seen many lives change for the better, which is why I still come back and serve after 18 years.

I made Rec #9 in 1989, and we are serving Rec#76 next weekend. Please pray for us.

I am going for my weekend next week (2/22/07). Kinda funny going the day after Ash Wednesday.

I’m a little nervous:)

I am happy for you 🙂 My weekend was not as joyous 😦 There were team members that should have been elsewhere

The program does well most of the time, I am sure. I truly hope it is a positive springboard for the rest of your life :angel1:

I was unsure when I went. I really didn’t know much about it. Enjoy your time, may you have a very personal and intimate time with Christ!

Got home at 11:00 pm last night - got to sleep at 2:00 am!

All I can say is

De Colores!

Did a Cursillo in 1991 while stationed in Germany. My major complaint–no down time. I needed some quiet time so while everyone was working on the poster, I went for a walk in the quiet, German grape fields. I found a small chapel there and spent some quiet time with the Lord.

I never did any follow up. The movement hadn’t moved me but I’ve known others who were very inspired.

That’s unfortunate. We had many opportunities to spend in Chapel with Jesus. Many breaks during the day. There was also a Marian grotto nearby that we could walk to on our breaks. A lot of us would get up early and just go to the chapel alone.
