Permanent deacon or transitional?

I think it is possible if the disorder was well treated and completely under control. It would depend on the diocese.

Why not call your local vocation director and ask for their policy?

You would have to consult your diocesan director of vocations with this question. Guidelines for situations like this can vary from diocese to diocese. An answer you get here may not help you at all for your location.
