Can anyone tell me anything about this organization? This appears to be an organization for Catholic youth, started by Eddie Cotter. I have not heard of this organization before. It does not exist in Arizona, but I might want to bring it here if there is enough interest. Catholic teenagers need something meatier than the watered-down, dumbed-down and protestantized Life Teen.

There is a Dead Theologians Society chapter at our parish, and it seems to be quite popular and spiritually beneficial to youth of high school age.

Thanks. I sent an eamil to founder Eddie Cotter and didn’t receive a reply yet. How does one go about starting a chapter? DTS doesn’t yet exist in my diocese or even in my state.

My son’s youth groups started as DTS, but decided to keep the format, but drop the association because of the high cost.

All I know is what is posted here. I do recall that the priest who started the chapter at our parish had been friends with either the founder or someone involved with DTS nationally, so he just made a phone call to get it going.

The Dead Theologians Society is a great youth group- in our chapter, every week there are about 60 or 70 (sometimes more) teens that want to attend. They don’t need to- they want to.
