Death sentence for Nag Hammadi murderer -- Your reactions?

Its called the trickle down effect. Thats produced by one insane individual. Its only starts with the victims.

I find it facinating here in the US we will debate the death penalty, yet Sharia Law and Honor Killings through slow death by stoning, are at our door knocking. Look at England?

Nobody yet has asked what God’s opinion on the matter, which I find interesting, since He made His opinion quite clear in Sacred Scripture:

and

He who strikes a man so that he dies shall surely be put to death. However, if he did not lie in wait, but God delivered him into his hand, then I will appoint for you a place where he may flee. But if a man acts with premeditation against his neighbor, to kill him by treachery, you shall take him from My altar, that he may die. --Ex. 21:12-14, NKJV

Note that in both instances, God Himself is speaking. Also, the second quotation is only a few verses removed from “Thou shalt not kill.”

He said to turn the other cheek…

But He also said as well to render to Cesar what belongs to Cesar …

There are the sex criminals who sexually use and then murder little children…I have no mercy for these…

And then there is John Paul II who wanted to see the end of the death penalty…

You have to read that passage within the context of the culture of the time. Jesus was talking about someone giving you a personal insult, not someone murdering you. When He was on trial, he acknowledged that Pilate had the authority to put Him to death.

If Jesus’ coming to fulfill the Law means that we have to do away with the death penalty, then we should also do away with worshiping God alone, with not taking the Name of the Lord in vain, with honoring father and mother, and with the rest of the 10 Commandments. But if the 10 Commandments are still in effect, then the command to execute murderers is also still in effect.

Just desserts…wonder about Ted Bundy…He must have killed more…

I grew up in T-Town…when I was about 13 or so, we heard about a 10 year old girl who was taken from her room and they never found her…she lived up by UPS…

When I was a junior in high school, our rival school came to our homecoming dance. Two seniors came in the dance hall. One had slick, shiny dark hair, a burgundy sweater, and black slacks…he spooked me because he was looking at all the girls like they were objects, numbers…

I truly hid behind some people so he wouldn’t see me…For real.

I went overseas…when I came home, my girlfriend told me to be careful…there was a guy named Ted they saw at Lake Sammamish…and several girls died…and they all had dark long hair like me parted on the side…

They finally got Ted.

Then so many years later, his senior year picture from his high school year book came out…and it was the same guy I saw at the dance…talk about being creeped out…and the year he was at the U…I lived in an apartment 2 or 3 blocks away…

Anyway…to make a long story short, the guys about town could not believe the women’s response to Ted’s forthcoming execution within 24 hours. The next day after he was gone, we both admitted we could not sleep that night, we thought about him, prayed for him, so deep, and that creepy feeling…and felt sorry for him…the guys could not believe we felt sorry for him…I don’t know if it was really feeling sorry for his execution…but it was a most horrific tragedy…

He had to go…it was never clear…I don’t ever recall hearing if he repented or not…he would kill again…on a rampage if he were released…he had to go…
