Death - why him?

Just recently, a teacher in my school died of cancer, not suddenly but neverthe less he is departed. This man was amazing, kind, generous,loving, everything?

Why is he dead and not an person full of sin and hatred?

In no way was this man perfect, surely he deserves life over a sinful man.
