Debating a Swedenborgian

Does anyone have any experience with Swedenborgians? I know very little about them, but I will likely have some long-term intermitent contact with one for an unknown period of time. If faith comes up I’d like to defend the Church against any possible attacks, and be able to intelligently and charitably discuss Swedenborgianism. Thanks in advance.
