Dear Brothers and Sisters,
This 33 Day Preparation before totally Consecrating ourselves to Jesus through Mary, for the first time or for renewing our Consecration, continues to be for me by God’s Grace a special blessing. Hopefully for any who may be still on the journey to the end, God is likewise giving abundant graces to you as well.
Today is the Feast of St. Stephen the First Martyr and when we look at the world today, we well might wonder if we are ready for the heavens to open for ourselves. I want to finish my life on this earth well, and I believe the “Narrow Road” that leads to Life is as Jesus pointed it out to us, and as He travelled Himself – as did His Mother and all the saints, especially St. Louis de Montfort in writing “True Devotion”
Yesterday, as we celebrated the of Feast Jesus’ Birth, I could not help but “Behold” the beauty and sweetness of the Holy Family in our Manger scene and continue to ponder the Wonder of God’s Love. I also continue to hear the words of Jesus from His Cross on Calvary, saying to John and to all of us: “Behold Your Mother”, and the obedience of John in taking Mary into his home and more – into his life.
How can we ever know or understand Jeus if we do not “Behold” Mary, His Mother given to us as Mother and Model for the Church? She is His First and Perfect Disciple ( the word “disciple” means learner) and Jesus tells us to “Behold your Mother” knowing that His grace will flow through her Who gave Him birth through the power of His Holy Spirit.
Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your Faithful, kindle in us the Fire of Your Love. Jesus, we trust in You! Mary Mother of the Church pray for us. St. Joseph protector of Mary and the Child Jesus, pray for us. St. Stephen, pray for us.
