Yes , @Ransri, , understanding decency as behaviour that conforms to accepted standards of morality or respectability , standards do change over time .

In my lifetime I have seen the change in the media , in dress , in conversation etc .

Whether this change is for the good or for the bad is another question .

My brief answer would be that our standards of decency have become too lax .
