Decorate my bathroom!

This weekend I accidentally painted my bathroom teal. It seemed a way more mellow green on the paint sample, but what’s done is done.

This dramatic transformation feels like it calls for a different wall hanging. What would you hang on a teal wall in the bathroom?

Some ideas: a maze, a map, a magic-eye illusion, a poem, a riddle, a hidden picture type of thing with lots to find

I fully acknowledge this is a very silly thing to return with after months not checking in.
 
I think you can never go wrong with a mirror. I’m thinking of a round one with sunrays frame in silver. The painted wall is quite saturated in color right? I also like those mirrors assembled to look like a four-paned window, white frame, maybe rough paint chipped off.

It’s just paint. Repaint it if you don’t like it. That’s easier than trying to decorate around it. Most likely you still won’t be happy with the result if you keep the teal no matter what you hang or make the “theme.”

I’m ok with it. It’s a vast improvement on what it was before. Previous owners added some kind of texturizing paste on top of wallpaper and painter’s tape (I kept finding blue painters tape sticking out of it) and then sponge painted it a bunch of different brown colors 🤢
My 3 year old had started chipping holes in it while she sat on the toilet, so it had finally reached just overall embarrassing status after 8 years of living here.

Much improved! Maybe a lovely print shower curtain that picks up the color, but doesn’t match it. I am thinking of those medallion/mandala print ones that Target always seems to carry.
 
Love the color. And the print shower curtain idea (something to look at rather than using the time to pick out paint chips 🤹‍♀️).
 
Yeah, I think marine life, sea shells would fit well with that color.

It’s not too far off from one of our bathrooms. We have like some sort of wood panel with a flower on it, and a rectangular tin wall hanging with a Scripture quote on it (probably from Hobby Lobby). There are a few other little boat things hanging on the wall, too.

I think this would look great against a teal background! 😍

Now that you’ve posted photos, however, I see there isn’t enough room. 😞
 
For a moment I considered this, but then I felt bad like what have this, likely deceased, man and cat done to deserve having to watch people use the toilet.
