Well, I just ran into a good discussion on Youtube I thought would be inspiring to my fellow Catholics who are passionate about Christmas this year.
Please rebember, my writings are in Blue and my opponentâs writing is in Red, Enjoy:
Please tell me where Iâm a âhypocrite.â
Some might find it âuncharitableâ to write:
âGET OFFENDED LOSER, AND THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE⌠SHAZOOLO YOU SUCK.â
Matthew 5:22 says: âI tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, âRaca,â is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, âYou fool!â will be in danger of the fire of hell.â
âRacaâ is an Aramaic term for contempt. As Christians we should be obligated to refrain from using words of contempt, like âyou suckâ or âloserâ or encouraging someone to take offenseâŚ
Peace,
Jared Z.
You havenât read my comments correctly. I will let you know that there is no middle road. Shazaloolo is preaching a gospel not of the Bible. Jesus said to let them know, tell them the Truth. I did, and he failed to listen. Sorry, but please see how he tried to deflect and dodge the points at hand of the argument. It seemed that he was angry and confused without a basis or platform to present his argument.
I said what I can and as for all of us, I want Salvation to Shazaloolo to see that he has to reject evil and not mix it with good. That is the devilâs tool.
I love you all as a Christian.
Well, my accusation doesnât lie in your disagreement with Shazooloâs position on the issue of Christmas, but rather you conduct in disagreeing with him. I apreciate your love for us as a Christian, so itâs best to let your words reflect your loveâŚ
In regards to Shazoolo, I donât think Shazooloâs message quallifies as âanother gospel.â Heâs not teaching about salvation and no one expcts to gain salvation from celebrating Christmas, or any holiday for that matter. And he encouraged keeping âChristâ in âChristmasâ which is something our secular world seems persistent in pushing outâŚ
I mean, we were once a pagan society worshipping nature and the comming of winter solstice. Now we give one-another gifts since we are directing our celebration to the birth of Christ, and Jesus said âWhatsoever you do to the least of these, you do to me.â The tree INIDE the house (which sounds VERY weird in itself) makes sense in the light of the life that Jesus brings to the whole household, as well as the star that we put on top of the tree (or angel) to signify the birth of the Savior. Itâs practically re-inacting the manger scene from the gospels every 25th of December⌠This goes right along with the gospel, as St. Paul wrote, âSo whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.â (1 Cor. 10:31.)
"If he is not preaching about Salvation, but bringing up the Lord into a facet that welcomes both man made tradition and the teachings of Christ himself, then what the heck is he talking about. Why does he bring up Christmas or anything Satanic. Shouldnât we all flee from other doctrines? Christ is the only way to salvation. His doctrine of acceptance of evil is not of the Yeshuah Christ that Iâve read about in the Bible. "
Christmas isnât a doctrine, itâs a celebration. Not everything in religion is a doctrine, and I find nothing evil about Christmas other than secularism (i.e. Santa Claus, Coca-cola, shampaighn (if I spelled that correctly,) drunkeness, the presents IâM getting for Christmas rather than the joy I give, ME, ME, ME-ism, etc⌠Weâre going to have âman-made traditionsâ whether you intend to or not. Jesus never ordered preachers to preach to a congregation every sunday from the Bible and for everyone to gather together with their own Bibles in hand to Scripture-surf with the pastor or sing âAmazing Graceâ -some âhuman traditionsâ are merely inspired by our love of God and of Christ and shouldnât be shunned because of our irate fear of Satanâs deception."
âWhat are you talking about? the Bible states that Christ was born during harvest and it is historically proven that He was born at the end of Sept, but not mentioned as a date of celebration. Christ has existed for eternity, so his date of carnation on Earth is not a purpose for celebration, but rather His death for our sins.â
-Actually, now theyâre suggesting his birthday took place on July 9th, which brings me to this point, no one knows when his birthday is or was celebrated. The reason December 25th was chosen was because it was the date of other pagan celebrations and when Celtic converts came to Christianity they still wanted a reason to celebrate.
Furthermore, Jesusâ birth IS a reason to celebrate, so much so that angels came down from heaven and said:
âDo not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.â
Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
âGlory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.â (Luke 10:12-14.)
Is singing not a form of celebration? Is great joy not a great reason for celebration? Is Godâs redemption that reconciles us to Him not a great reason for celebration? To me, my reconciliation to God, the incarnation of my Messiah, my Annointed One, my Savior IS a reason for celebration. He is not a victum of the flesh, but a valiant martyr for our sins.
