Very good points made in the article.

A few months ago, we got rid of cable and have Roku. We do not have any cable news shows anymore. Once in a great while, I miss it. But mostly, I don’t. We get a local paper and hear the radio once or twice a day. It is enough.

It is nice to not feel that need to keep up with the latest news, which is mostly just a repeat or rehashing of earlier news. It is nice to not watch opinion news, for or against whatever the topic is.

It is very freeing to practice my “right not to know.”
