Please pray for me to overcome lustful temptations, specifically those presented at school. I’m a guy in high school and it’s very hard for me, but I am trying. Please pray for me to be free from these temptations… My name is Connor.
 
Lord, please grant Connor many graces that he might own custody of his eyes and heart in all situations, and always glorify you in his thoughts and actions. Instill in this soul graces for faith, hope, love, joy, chastity, wisdom, courage, and magnanimity. With holy angels guard Connor from all sides, that no temptation might avert his gaze from your holy truth. Lead him ever toward the eternal garden of life. Have mercy, Lord. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.

Hey Conner,

Let me offer some advice from a guy who has struggled with this all his life. It’s really every man’s battle if you want to know. I don’t think anyone is immune if you’re normal.

This is a battle of the mind. It takes more than prayer. You need to join the battle. If you use the weapons in the Bible, as God has given, then He will help.

First, study Eph.6:10-18. This explains about the enemy and your weapons. Th one thing that will help and defend you is the TRUTH. You see, Jesus said “the truth will make you free” . It is most important to believe the truth about who God is and who you are. When the devil keeps us confused about this, then we lose.

A great verse that tells us were to start is Rm. 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” we must replace what the world tells us about who we are and what we can do with the truth of God who created us.

Trust me, this is what works. When have a lustful thought, I confess the truth of who I am in Christ. 2Cor5:21 says the truth is that i am “the righteousness of God in Christ”, countering the lie that i am just a week sinner that God doesn’t see or care about. I just keep saying truth, because then I am thinking much better about myself and then the lust is totally gone.

Also, believe the truth about Jesus. See that He is the "Author and finisher of your faith, and He is the shepherd and bishop of your soul. Use your. Imagination to see Jesus your shepherd standing next to you. You are never alone.

How’s it going my friend?

Just a few more thoughts that came to me.
Simply relax and give your problems to the Lord.
This morning i came across a key verse from 1Corinthians.
Remember that this was a church that had some serious sin issues. In ch.15:34 Paul gives this advice: “Awake to righteousness and sin not ; for some have not the knowledge of God”
Notice that the fist thing is to learn about the righteousness that is of God. Then after you KNOW, then you will not sin. Just as i said before, the truth will make you free. Did you see that? Paul said knowledge of God is the key. God gives us the tools to win every battle.
