I personally didn’t care for it that much. The lyrics were pretty repetitive. I pray for her in her battle though. The song obviously was important to her.

I thought she suffers from bipolar disorder, as both my son and one of our grandkids do.

Thanks VERY much for that.

BTW, assuming you’re Cajun, we may be related, at least way back when, as I’m a Me’tis, with the French part that goes back to Quebec in the 1600’s on my father’s side and the late 1800’s on my mothers side.

The only thing that interested me was BoyzIIMen at the opening. Then I turned it off.

Do you guys use the term “Me’tis” there in Louisiana? You’re familiar with it, right? Here in the northern U.S. and southern Canada we use it when dealing with us French.

BTW, I love Cajun food but the salt is killing me so I have to lay off it most of the time.

I can read French to a limited extent but do poorly with the spoken word. I know some Spanish and my wife is from Italy and speaks fluent Italian, especially if she’s angry with me 😉, and both of us have no trouble reading signs and menus when in Quebec.

BTW, if you get a chance, consider visiting Montreal and Quebec City as they are fantastic! If I had to live somewhere different than I do now, I would choose Quebec over any other place We’ve been.

My understanding of the word ‘metis’ (which means ‘cross-breed’ in French but without any negative connotation) is that it was a term used in the early days of the French colonization of Quebec to describe people of mixed French and Indian parentage - which was probably a fair percentage of the population in those early days.

As for Demi Lovato, is she the singer who sang "Let It Go’?

No, I don’t believe she sang the song for the movie.

I get Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato confused. Did they both have substance abuse problems?

I looked it up, and while Idina Menzel did perform it for the movie, Disney also released a simplified pop version with shorter lyrics which was sung by Demi Lovato and which was played during the closing credits for the movie. About Selena Gomez, I know absolutely nothing.
