OP-You answered none of my questions, and your response was quite hard to read.
What breeds people ranting on the internet about how bad Democracy is? Does it make you feel better about your life?

I’m honestly asking-why do people rant like this? Why do people seem to dislike a country that’s given you so much? Would you be better off in North Korea? Rural Africa?

If you don’t like democracy, move to a country where it’s not practiced.

OK - try again without the underscore.

What breeds people ranting on the internet about how bad Democracy is?
Answer - Perhaps because of the mess we are in which is 100% directly attributed to our government i.e. the mediocre leaders and the mediocre constituency and the strong desire NOT to change, but to continue the “run to the sea” like the lemming’s we have allowed ourselves to become.

Does it make you feel better about your life?
Answer - No of course not.

I’m honestly asking-why do people rant like this?
Answer - Same answer, the mess we are in causes concern and gives us voice to express ourselves.

Why do people seem to dislike a country that’s given you so much?
Answer - You read without absorption. No where have I declared a dislike for my nation. , Only a lament for the mediocre leaders and the weak constituency - not the country, not the nation. And as a sidebar, I gave 5 years to my nation in the US Army. I embraced the Kennedy challenge to “…ask what you can do for our country.” - which I am sure, you have done as well.

Would you be better off in North Korea?
Answer - I have served in South Korea so no, North Korea is not America. But America is on the verge of destroying ourselves and experiencing the same loss of Liberty which we have sworn to protect. And by your answers, the impact of what is about to befall us, is lost on your conscience.

. . . . or simply an effort to distinguish the response to the response, which from the comments I see is a poor choice and will refrain in the future.

Um…okay. Well, rant away my friend. It really won’t do anything, but I hope it makes you feel better in the long run.

Thanks for your service to the country.
