Can a baptized Christian still be under demonic influence in a significant way? If so what are remedies aside from exorcism that the individual can take advantage of?
Also what is that Christians culpability ultimately concerning sins committed and confessed. Does that Christian excommunicate himself for grave sins?

If this is happening, and it can, please speak to your priest.

There are different types of demonic influence such as:
Oppression
Obsession
Possesion
There are a few others I forgot.

Some sins do have an excommunication, not sure how many.

Thank you for posting this…I did not know of her. so much to read on this website. thanks

You should speak to your priest if you are concerned about these matters, but yes a baptised Christian can have problems with diabolic influence. Do remember that even temptations are diabolic in nature and each and every human is tempted. Mary is probably the best recourse as she is hated by demons, so praying the rosary daily is certainly a healthy start. Of course the most obvious is remaining in a state of grace. The church offers various sacramentals which can help. Like someone said there are various levels which a priest could best advise you on and even then they’d likely send you to the relevant specialist priest in your area. If you merely want to protect yourself or your family the perhaps a purple scapular for your home or a St Benedict medal to wear. Google spiritual warfare.

Some temptations come from Satan, and Scripture tells us that we are also tempted when we are led away by our own desires.

A person who is validly baptized and in a state of Grace (not in mortal sin) cannot be “possessed”, so, no exorcism is needed.

As Scripture tells us “resist the devil and he will flee from you”. Don’t give satan more power than he actually has.

Peter Kreeft’s work “Angels and Demons” is well worth reading.
