This isn’t meant to be a “proof of God” or a “proof of Christianity” thread. It’s just something interesting I thought you all might like. I compare various cases of demonic possesions from different religions and cultures. No specific cases are used, though.
Christianity
Victims tend to froth at the mouth. They make animal noises and curse priests. A moving lump is under the skin. They are able to speak unknown languages. They have superhuman strength and they know secret knowledge.
Islam
Victims are able to speak unknown languages, they scream when the Qu’ran is read, and they recover instantly from bodily harm. After exorcism, the possessed has no recollection of what happened.
Kitsunetsuki
Victims tend to either run around naked or lie down and froth at the mouth. They yelp as foxes do. A moving lump is under the skin. They are able to speak unknown languages. They eat only what foxes eat and they tend to eat quite a lot.
African traditions
Victims are able to foretell events and they know secret knowledge. They are unaffected by alcohol. They are said to feel energy flowing through their bodies. After exorcism, the possessed has no recollection of what happened.
