I remember reading about the poltergeist in Freud’s bookshelf, and judging from the exchange of letters between Freud and Jung it does seem that there was a loud noise from a bookcase when these two men of science were discussing poltergeists, and that Jung was somehow able to predict that there would be a second loud noise from the bookcase after Freud tried to dismiss the whole thing.

But if demons exist, and they are spiritual beings, how would they interact with our physical world, and why would God allow it?

How could they even see Freud and Jung, or overhear their conversation without physical eyes and ears?

Would Aquinas have anything to say about this?

Would he have an answer?

Can’t speak for STA, but if pure spirits can interact with matter, it would be in the same way that our minds operate our bodies.

It could be that pure spirits have the equivalent of senses, that enable them to perceive not human bodies but the spiritual minds within them.

ICXC NIKA.

Poltergeists are kind of unknown things. Ghosts are the dead. Someone who has got lost or decided to stay in the realm of the dead. Demons are simply beings that are deceitful. Then there are of course angels, gods (annunaki) and a myriad of many, many hosts of unknown beings. This isn’t Thomism of course but educated information. One things Thomas did sy though is that God (The first Cause) has no attributes. Therefore he doesn’t love, hate, enjoyment, ec cetra. He is love, hate, enjoy, ec cetra 🙂

Humm. Now does something not sound right there? If there is evil. God must be evil. God is all things remember. The thing; “evil” and “hate” are human constructs. God is not evil. Evil is a human idea. Look at nature. All the “horrible” things that happen in the lives of wild animals? They are getting just what they need for their souls. There is no “evil” out there.

Hope I’m clear. Think about it.
God Bless
