But if the Devil didn’t really know that he literally was the son of God, then why did Jesus tell him to be quiet about who he was. In the OT there had already been great prophets and other great men chosen by God who did marvelous feats, like Moses did, and a prophet raising a boy from the dead, and other great prophetic miracles. So it would seem to me that the devil knew Jesus as someone other than just another great prophet doing great things.

One of the questions that the devil asked Jesus was if he was THE one who coming to do them in and end their power in the world.

If the exorcists use the Blessed Sacrament in their work because the devil is frightened of what the Blessed Sacrament is, … and priests have testified to this … then wouldn’t the devils know what the Blessed Sacrament is in the real human flesh of Christ and be terrified? It seems this fear they sensed would tell them who he is and that is why Jesus told them not to speak out.
