If you have serious health problem increasing chance of death you can request the Anointing of the Sick and confess at that time.I have a transportation problem and have been desiring to go to absolution and Mass for a while. I wanted to go to the parish early todayfor both plus adoration and didn’t get to go. I felt like God is having mercy on me. Is this desire enough to save me should something happen?
If you cannot move and have not gone to Mass for some time, consider calling a priest. He would probably come and visit you to administer the Sacrament of Confession. God has no desire to lose you or ever let go of you. If you sincerely repented of your sins out of sorrow of having offended the Lord who is infinitely good and worthy to be loved above all things, and have the intention to confess soon, this the Church teaches as sufficient to restore sanctifying grace (though we are not in a proper disposition to receive Communion until we actually confess).A sacrifice to God is an afflicted spirit: a contrite and humbled heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
