Desperate Parent - How to respond to child's coming out?

I have been confronted with a difficult situation and hope this is te right frum. A child of mine has told his mother and I that he is gay.

Being a parent who dearly loves his/her child find it difficult to handle. However, I know God loves each and every one of us and forgives sinners - which gives me exceptiona hope, I a looking for advice on how to handle the situation.

I love my child and do no want to loose her but at the same time have a conflict with the teachings of my Faith.
